Bearcage, established in 1996 by Serge Ou and Michael Tear, has grown strongly and consistently, with initial emphasis on advertising and corporate production and recent diversification into television. To manage our strong growth, Bearcage Films was established in 2007, allowing the Company’s television activity to be concentrated in a specialised entity.
Bearcage Film’s production slate is characterised by narrative driven documentaries and factual series. Compelling stories, high production values and specialist expertise in post-production and re-enactment have led to success with domestic and international audiences and been recognised through awards and nominations in Australia and overseas.
